About the Artist

Marina Rehder

illustrator based in São Paulo, Brazil.

Since a little girl, I loved whales and dolphins and drawing.

As a curious person, I've always loved to do all kinds of research about these animals, and with a lot of dedication and observation, drawing skills were acquired.

Art, in all its forms, is a way to teach, to show affection and to inspire. As an artist, my biggest satisfaction is to see how people react when learning about animals and knowing that I helped to bring them these knowledge.

Completely self-taught, in both marine biology and art fields, I started my carreer as an illustrator in 2019.

As for other habilities, I play drums, guitar and sing a little bit.

Music is another passion. Coming from a family of musicians, it's only natural I'm emotionally involved with music.

I have a degree in Musical Production and worked with live performances for both local and international bands.
